Event Details

The University of Manchester is delighted to be hosting a conference on colleague workplace wellbeing within the Higher Education sector, with a particular focus on how we can take a strategic approach to wellbeing and the benefits this delivers.

The conference will appeal both to those who have colleague wellbeing as a key focus of their role or leaders and managers who want to better understand how they can support and embed a positive approach to workplace wellbeing. Please note attendance at the conference is for those working in the sector and not service providers or consultancies. Spaces are limited to 2 per institution.

Among other speakers, we will be joined on the day by Professor Sir Cary Cooper, Professor Gail Kinman and Dr Ashley Weinberg, who are academic experts in the area of workplace wellbeing and will join us in a panel discussion. Conference sessions will explore the topics of organisational wellbeing strategies, measuring wellbeing in the workplace, work life balance, as well as case studies from colleagues in the higher education sector. There will be plenty of opportunities to network, ask questions and share ideas with others working in the sector who are passionate about workplace wellbeing.

A full agenda will be shared with you in due course.

Speakers:

Professor Sir Cary Cooper, CBE, 50th Anniversary Professor of Organizational Psychology & Health, Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester

Professor Gail Kinman, Visiting Professor of Occupational Health Psychology, Birkbeck Business School, Birkbeck, University of London

Dr Ashley Weinberg, Senior Lecturer in Psychology, University of Salford

Helen Brewis, Chartered Occupational Psychologist and Head of Colleague Wellbeing, University of Manchester
